The Universe Is Working On My Behalf

Ralph Smart's videos make me smile.

Ralph Smart’s videos make me smile. This was a big improvement from how I woke up.

I’ve been meaning to tell you that Ralph Smart’s videos are beyond the bomb-diggity! Beyond! He has a YouTube channel called, Infinite Waters (Diving Deep.) I’m so grateful for his work. He’s really helping me get through a very difficult time in my life.

I hit a major depressive episode in July 2015 when my dad got a lot sicker. I’m still tromping through it, but I definitely see the light at the end of the tunnel. And that part is exhilarating.

So What Happened?

Well, my dad passed away in June of this year. And my 24 year relationship imploded. The sad tries to drown me sometimes.

But Ralph puts me in a stronger heartspace to be able to deal. Sometimes, he just keeps my head above water, like dog paddling. And that’s definitely a big break from being stuck under the water. Quite often, though, after listening to him, I get in a very okay place.

The super okayness his messages put me in is, well, hard to describe. I’ve never experienced okayness in the middle of turmoil to this degree. It’s totally new to me.

I definitely can’t adequately verbalize my gratitude. Immense, it’s immense.

10 Secrets to Overcome Closed Doors, Detours, & Roadblocks to Become Unstoppable

In this video, he talks about not having paranoia, but pronoia. Awareness. In the NOW. He says to himself, “The Universe is working on my behalf.” Change your perspective.

Wikipedia says: Pronoia is a neologism that is defined as the opposite state of mind to paranoia: having the sense that there is a conspiracy that exists to help the person. It is also used to describe a philosophy that the world is set up to secretly benefit people.

In 2008 the writer and Electronic Frontier Foundation co-founder John Perry Barlow defined pronoia as “the suspicion the Universe is a conspiracy on your behalf”.

I’ve been in therapy, support groups, etc., since I was 15 years old. So I have heard a lot of similar things to what is shared in Ralph Smart’s videos. His message is having a massive impact on me, though. He’s really reaching me. Really. My level of “knowing” is much deeper. Not that I don’t have bad moments, or even bad hours, trust me on that. But underneath the pain, sadness, etc., is okayness. It is so unfamiliar to me, I sometimes feel like I’m on some other planet.

He Wrote A Book!

Along with his very successful YouTube channel, he has also written a book. I bought it last week and it arrived the other day. It is called, “Feel Alive.”

I’ve only just started the book, because it is kind of difficult for me right now to just sit still. When I listen to his videos, I can still do other stuff, but I have read the first chapter. I am just reading it as I can, not being hard on myself for not just digging in and sucking all those helpful words into my eyeballs.

He even has me eating better. I started eating better before I left Alabama last December. Then when I got here to Dallas, I was eating even better. That is often the case when I’m at my mother’s house, where I’m now living. With Ralph’s influence, though, I’m eating a lot better than even that.

But Lisa, Where’s Your Video?

I’ve been wanting to share Ralph Smart’s videos with ya’ll for a while now. I just keep putting it off. I wanted to do a video about him for my first post about him, but this morning’s video was just so good and so timely for me (that keeps happening! synchronicity!) that I had to start writing this post while I listened. Video coming soon. 😉

He has degrees in criminology and psychology, he worked with special needs kids after college, he loves animals (all creatures) greatly, he loves the woods (what I’ve always called my church,) and he has so much groovy stuff to share.

Saying I’m grateful just doesn’t cut it. He even has me crocheting again! So glad about that. I’m finishing a project I started a few months ago. 🙂

Have a super groovylicious day!

Lisa Marie Mary
